The Team
Meet the KTS team
David Smiedt is your MC, the host with the most. A living, breathing Jewish joke machine who delights audiences around the world with his warm inclusive, intelligent comedy. And what a mensch!
Timekeeper and referee is Geoff Sirmai (“half-watchdog, half-wit”)
And your musical improviser is Gamran Green, composer, pianist, songwriter… and molecular biologist. Of course!
Your celebrity judges are Simon Tedeschi, Australian international classical concert pianist and crossover jazz icon;
Phil Scott, writer, musician, stage and screen musical comic and star of the Wharf Revues; and
Liz Hovey (judge on Sunday, MC on Thursday), the manic medic herself… actor, director, Theatresports champion and - in her copious spare time - leading oncologist!
Singer-songwriter, Ben Goldstein hails from Sydney’s Bondi Beach and shot to fame as a finalist on The Voice, Season 2. He takes musical inspiration from his laidback beach lifestyle and his passion stems from a firm spiritual belief that music can heal and bring peace to the world.
Gladys! “The Woman Who Saved Australia” but couldn't save herself.
Tia Wilson direct from her musical hit at Bondi Cabaret Festival!
Michael Gregory, legendary Theatresports champion, teacher and director.
Your teams include all-time Kosher Theatresports champions
Shmux in Tux (Jason Elias, Andy Greenfield, Matt Foster, Dave Bloustien); plus
Yids These Days (Eden Glass, Willow Gelin, Jesse Barel, Beau Glass);
Lucky They Have a Day Job (Shimon Parker, Evie Smith, Richard Wilmot, Di Gittel Kuchar);
Macbeth-Din (Michelle Seaton, Toffee Foltyn, Tony Sloman, Daniella Goldberg);
50 Shades Oy Vey! (Andrea Ginsberg, Joel Goodman, Lesley-Ann Hellig, Jordi Goodman)
Schlepp Back in Time (Leah Reid, Denise Rosenberg Archie, Lindsay Moss)
With lolly-throwers Milly, Sierra, Charlie and Emily!
The Ronit Ovah Cup!
